Aniracetam or Piracetam: Which Is Smarter For Me

Many of our customers inquire as to the differences in the “racetams” such as the following:

All three are classified as Nootropics or “smart drugs” for their beneficial cognitive effects. Improved memory, cognitive function and improved memory are all attributed to the “racetams”. Also, very few if any negative side effects have been attributed to these compounds.

Of these, aniracetam, is the most potent compound and thus its recommended dosage levels are much smaller. However, many studies have indicated that aniracetam’s beneficial effects extend far beyond the simple cognitive improvements attributed to piracetam and oxiracetam.

Aniracetam, like the other two, has been the subject of numerous studies in a variety of laboratory animals as well as in humans and the results are quite eye opening. It has been shown to relieve depression and panic anxiety in humans and to treat certain phobias. This compound has also been shown to have positive effects on age related brain deficits including Alzheimer’s, post stroke depression and dementia caused by vascular problems.

Like the other two, aniracetam is considered very safe and there have been no documented cases of overdose or negative drug interaction. So which “racetam” is right for you? Generally, we recommend that our customers sample all three compounds if their desired goal is improved learning, memory and cognitive function. However, if the customer is seeking alleviation of depression, anxiety or social phobias, aniracetam is always recommended.
